Vertabase Timer Chosen to Help Launch New Adobe Service
Southfield, MI, Oct 6, 2009 - Vertabase Timer has been selected as one of a handful of applications initially available through the new try-before-you-buy software service for the Adobe AIRTM Marketplace. The new service, codenamed "Shibuya," was announced today at the Adobe MAX 2009 conference in Los Angeles.
Vertabase also announced a new version and pricing for the popular time tracking application to be sold on the Marketplace. The new Vertabase Timer 3.0 is currently available through the Adobe AIR Marketplace as a try-before-you-buy download with an introductory purchase price of $5.00.
"We are excited and honored to be a part of this new service, and we look forward to having that licensing and sales channel available for Vertabase Timer and other AIR apps moving forward," said Vertabase spokesperson Mark Phillips. "Adobe AIR has been a promising technology platform for developers from the get-go. The new Shibuya service extends the platform even further - much like the Apple AppStore has done for iPhone applications."
Running on Adobe AIR and written in Adobe FlexTM, Vertabase Timer is a light desktop-based application that allows users to easily and effectively track time spent on tasks, create reports, chart and analyze data.
Vertabase Timer exports data to industry-standard formats such as XML and CSV.
New features in Vertabase Timer Version 3.0 include:
- A sleeker new look
- New charting and graphing functionality
- New personalization options including user names, skins and more
- Billing rates for profitability analysis
- More notation options
- Try-before-you-buy functionality through Adobe's AIR Marketplace
