Security

Vertabase is committed to the security and protection of our customers' information on the Vertabase system. We use a variety of methods to ensure security in our software, hardware, and hosting facilities. Security is a priority for Vertabase. We actively improve and upgrade our security measures when possible.
Vertabase 4 Network
There are multiple security strategies in effect in all Vertabase ASP network environments, such as firewall systems which restrict and monitor all traffic between the Vertabase systems and the Internet. In addition, Vertabase servers use network switches instead of hubs in order to isolate communications between specific servers. This helps prevent eavesdropping by locking out any unauthorized user from internal network traffic and communications. There are many additional security steps in effect for our networks which are not described to assure we maintain the highest security possible for our customers in relation to all network implementations.
Vertabase 4 Software
Vertabase employs a single instance environment for each customer, which separates all clients' data from one another. Vertabase believes the best way to keep our customers' data safe is to keep our systems separate from one another. Also, every Vertabase system uses a multi-level password approach for each customer, locking and securing each and every Vertabase system with a server level password, and then with a system level password. This may be a slight inconvenience, however, every customer's system is protected on multiple levels making Vertabase more secure. When requested* by customers, Vertabase can implement SSL encryption for all incoming and outgoing server data, an available feature to our customers.
Vertabase 4 Hosting
Vertabase utilizes third party hosting facilities which feature 24/7 human monitoring, a full alarm system, battery and diesel based power backup, and fire retardant devices that save hardware and network systems in the case of a fire. Great effort is made to make sure no unauthorized person has access to any physical server on our network. All unauthorized personnel are restricted from accessing the physical servers, and every technician accessing a server must be accompanied by a chaperone. Vertabase understands the importance of securing all physical systems from harm, and makes great effort to create a safe and secure place for all our customers' information.
*There is an additional charge for implementation of SSL and for the annual license of the SSL certificate from a third party vendor
